Guide for Advertisers:
How to Create Successful
Posts & Promotions
Goal of Posts and Promotions
Your posts and promotions make sure your products appear exactly where they make an impact – in front of the right publishers. A clearly written post immediately shows why your product matters and what added value a publisher can pass on to their community.
Always keep in mind: no publisher has time to browse your entire website every day looking for updates.
With a targeted post or promotion, you give them the crucial hint about new products, highlights, or special offers. This way, you make sure publishers quickly see what’s new and exciting – and can share your content directly with their community.
Text Length & Structure
To make your posts stand out, they need to be clear, well-structured, and to the point. A strong post strikes the perfect balance between information and emotion – it delivers value and builds trust. Follow this structure to achieve maximum impact:
Headline:
Keep it short, clear, and straight to the point. It should instantly highlight the key benefit of your product.
Introduction:
Pick up on the headline and smoothly lead into the topic – spark curiosity and interest.
Main Section:
Explain why your offer matters to publishers and show the concrete benefits of your product.
- which problems it solves
- what added value it offers
- what makes it stand out from others
Conclusion:
Create an emotional connection. Convey the feeling that your product is the right solution right now. This builds motivation to take action – and makes your post memorable.
Content & Perspective
To make your post feel authentic, always write it from the partner’s point of view – never using “we” or “our.” Put yourself in your target audience’s shoes:
- What drives them in their daily life?
- What specific problem does your product solve?
- What situation, frustration, or desire lies behind it?
Briefly describe the situation your customer is in. Make it relatable and realistic.
Clearly show the benefit and solution without using empty marketing phrases.
Focus on real advantages your customer can actually feel:
- How does your product improve everyday life?
- How does it save time, money, or effort?
- Why is it especially relevant right now?
Make the reader feel that your offer is a genuine answer to their need – not an exaggeration, but real added value. This builds trust and makes your post authentic and effective.
IMPORTANT:
Make sure not to simply copy content from your website – this would violate the content guidelines.
Presenting the Benefits
If you want publishers to actively promote your products, you need to present the benefits clearly, concisely, and in a way they can truly feel. Your goal: every line should convey real emotion or a tangible advantage – no marketing fluff, just genuine value.
Think about what your target audience truly feels when they use your product.
Is it relief, excitement, or a sense of security? Write in a way that makes readers instantly understand what your offer is all about.
Give a crystal-clear answer to the question:
“Why should I spend my money on your product, your deal, or your service?”
Summarize your benefits in 5–7 strong bullet points.
Each one should make readers want to learn more.
That’s how you spark interest – and keep your product top of mind.
Images
⚠️ Make sure not to use special characters like “&”, “/”, “%”, or emojis in your image descriptions – otherwise, you’ll get an upload error. Instead, use clear, descriptive text that explains your product or promotion in a simple, understandable way.
Great images are often the key attention-grabber of your post. They convey emotion, tell a story, and help publishers instantly grasp what it’s all about.
Focus on authentic, high-quality visuals that communicate your message directly:
📸 Show your product in real, everyday situations.
💡 Highlight the problem it solves – and how.
🔥 For promotions, make the discount clearly visible.
✨ Use before-and-after images to show results – they always work.
💬 Capture genuine emotions instead of staged scenes.
Make sure every image looks professional, clean, and uncluttered. That’s how you stay memorable – and make publishers eager to share your content.
Frequency & Consistency
Submit at least one post or promotion per week. This keeps you visible and provides publishers with a steady flow of fresh input and inspiration. A consistent rhythm helps you stay top of mind, build trust, and show that your shop is active. Publishers see you as a reliable partner and are more likely to share your content.
Make it a simple routine:
Share one highlight, promotion, or new product each week – that’s all it takes to stay visible long-term and continuously grow your reach.
Quick Check Before Submitting
Before submitting your post or promotion, take a final look. A quick review of the key points can make the difference between success and failure – and ensures your content performs at its best.
A structured quick check saves time and prevents unnecessary revisions. Go through each point with an honest eye – it’s the easiest way to make your content stronger.
- Is your text between 500 and 1,500 characters long?
- Do you address the reader emotionally – not from a company perspective?
- Do you clearly present your key benefits in bullet points?
- Do you have a strong headline and a compelling introduction?
- Does your post end with a clear “Why now” and a feeling that makes readers want your product?
- Does your product image instantly tell the story – without any extra explanation?
If you can answer all these questions with “yes,” your post is ready for the spotlight – persuasive, well-structured, and guaranteed to make an impact.
Planning & Lead Time
To make sure your posts and promotions go live on time, planning is key.
Good preparation ensures your deal doesn’t get lost but is perfectly placed – right when your target audience is most active.
Plan at least five business days (Mon–Fri) in advance. If you submit your post or deal at shorter notice, there’s no guarantee it will be published on time.
Already have fixed dates or planned promotions? Then inform the selecdoo team early so your preferred slot can be reserved in the calendar. Just send a short message – it saves you stress and secures your spot.
Even for spontaneous promotions, a quick heads-up is worth it: the team will check whether there’s still space or suggest the next available date. This way, you ensure your promotion stays visible, is smoothly scheduled, and can be actively promoted by publishers – for maximum reach and impact.
