Regelwerk für Posts,
Aktionen & Deals
§1 Purpose
This set of rules defines binding requirements for the creation, submission, and publication of posts and campaigns within the selecdoo platform and on the selecdoo website. The goal is to ensure successful, clear, and performance-oriented communication towards publishers.
§2 Objective
Posts and campaigns are designed to present products to publishers in a targeted and successful way. Their purpose is to clearly convey the relevance, benefits, and use cases of the promoted product. The content must be understandable and usable without requiring additional research on the product website.
§3 Text Length and Structure
- (1) The required minimum text length is 500 characters, which is technically enforced.
- (2) Each post must follow a clear structure consisting of:
- a) a headline highlighting a specific benefit,
- b) a short introduction referring to the use case or occasion,
- c) a main section with structured and concise advantages,
- d) a concluding statement that motivates purchase or explains the timing of interest.
- (3) Posts that do not follow this structure may be rejected.
- (4) Texts that are fully or partially copied from the company’s own website are not allowed. Every post must be individually written and editorially adapted. Violations will result in immediate rejection.
- (5) The selecdoo editorial AI optimizes submitted texts to ensure the best possible presentation for publishers and advertisers without changing their context or original meaning.
§4 Language Requirements
- (1) Posts must be written exclusively from the partner’s perspective.
- (2) The use of pronouns such as “we,” “us,” or “our” (or similar forms) is not permitted.
- (3) Exaggerated advertising language, superlatives, or unsubstantiated quality claims are prohibited.
- (4) Only clear, factual, and relatable wording is allowed—focused on explaining real benefits and problem-solving in an understandable way.
§5 Presentation of Benefits
- (1) The main section must present the key advantages of the product in five to seven bullet points.
- (2) Each point must describe a specific benefit or tangible result.
- (3) Generic statements without clear added value are not allowed.
- (4) A direct link to real-life situations and practical application must be established.
§6 Visual Material
- (1) Images must support the message of the post and must not contain distracting or artificial elements.
- (2) Only authentic, high-quality, and thematically appropriate images that show the product in real use are permitted.
- (3) For promotional posts, the advertised discount must be visually highlighted.
- (4) Before/after images are explicitly allowed.
- (5) The use of special characters (e.g., “&,” “/,” “%,” emojis, or similar symbols) in file names is prohibited. Violations will lead to technical errors and automatic rejection.
§7 Submission and Lead Time
- (1) Posts and campaigns must be submitted at least five (5) business days (Monday to Friday) before the desired publication date.
- (2) Posts submitted with a shorter lead time will be reviewed if possible, but timely publication cannot be guaranteed.
- (3) For planned promotions or events, selecdoo must be informed early to ensure timely publication.
- (4) Submitted posts and deals are processed in the order of receipt, following the “First Come, First Serve” principle.
§8 Review Process
- (1) Each post undergoes both content and formal review.
- (2) In case of minor issues, one correction opportunity will be provided.
- (3) If the requirements are still not met after correction, the post will be permanently rejected.
§9 Grounds for Rejection
- A post may be rejected without further review if:
- a) the text length does not meet the required range,
- b) “we/our” language is used,
- c) fewer than five or more than seven benefit points are included,
- d) special characters are used in image descriptions,
- e) the closing section lacks a clear purchase or usage argument,
- f) submission occurs without sufficient lead time,
- g) text content is fully or partially copied from the advertiser’s own website.
§10 Final Provisions
This set of rules takes effect upon publication and is binding for all shops and advertisers. Posts that do not comply with these regulations may be rejected and will not be published.
