Ever tried brewing olive leaves?

When most people think of an olive tree, olives and olive oil are the first things that come to mind. But the leaves can also be dried and brewed as tea – a tradition with a long history in the Mediterranean!

Ölich’s olive leaves come from the area around Edremit on Turkey’s Aegean coast – the same region as the Advertiser’s olive oil. They come loose in the tin, with no tea bags and no added flavors, sugar, or fillers!

Once brewed, olive leaf tea has a slightly tart, subtly grassy taste – perfect for anyone looking to try something different as the cooler season begins! 🍂

It’s this easy to prepare:
🍵 Use 1 heaped teaspoon per 250 ml of water – or two if you prefer a stronger flavor
💧 Pour over with water heated to around 80°C
⏱️ Let it steep for 5–8 minutes
🌿 The tea infuser gives the loose leaves plenty of room to fully unfold
