Why is my conversion rate (SCR) unusually high?

In some cases, the conversion rate in the selecdoo system (also called SCR) may appear unusually high. This happens because certain publishers generate sales exclusively through coupons.

When a user redeems a coupon, there’s often no click triggered via the affiliate link. However, the sale is still tracked correctly. Since the conversion rate is calculated with the formula Sales ÷ Clicks, this leads to a distortion:

  • The number of sales increases due to coupons.
  • The number of clicks stays the same or doesn’t rise proportionally.

The result is an apparently above-average conversion rate.

So, this display is not a system error but simply a logical outcome of the calculation method.
